Vince Faraday’s journey ends – or at least, we hope there’s a satisfying conclusion! – tonight at midnight, as NBC will be posting the final episode online at NBC.com.

One Of The Cape’s Showrunners Moves On

As if NBC’s failure to release any new promotional images lately wasn’t a hint, now comes news that showrunner John Wirth has moved on to a new project.

From Deadline.com today:

The Cape showrunner John Wirth has joined the CW’s drama pilot Cooper & Stone as exec producer-showrunner. The pilot, from writer-exec producer Laurie Arent and CBS TV Studios, is about two smart young female detectives on Chicago’s North Side who are best friends, equally adept at discussing fashion, music, pop culture as they are solving homicides. Wirth also served as co-showrunner on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Aside from reducing The Cape’s Season 1 order, no official announcement has been made about the show’s future and possibilities for Season 2.

New Episode Of The Cape Tonight! “Goggles and Hicks”

A new episode of The Cape airs tonight, and sadly, we don’t have any images from the episode because NBC didn’t release any. (Did they give up already?)

The episode, “Goggles and Hicks,” features Chad Lindberg of Supernatural and The Fast and the Furious fame as one of the latest people Chess has recruited to eliminate Vince Faraday. Lindberg’s appearance in tonight’s episode comes only one day before the release of his starring role in the grindhouse revenge film I Spit on Your Grave which hits Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow. If you like Chad’s guest appearance, pick up his new movie; and if you’re in the Burbank CA area, swing by the Dark Delicacies bookstore tomorrow night to meet him and tell him CapeSite.net sent you!

NBC Cuts The Cape To 10 Episodes

Haters might get their wishes fulfilled.

After several weeks of ratings declines, NBC has cut their order for The Cape to only 10 episodes for Season 1, Deadline.com has revealed.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. Needless to say this doesn’t seem like good news for the show, and that increased ratings for the remaining airings might be the only thing that could save the series.
